BELGRADE- The FMs of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, Ivica Dacic and Elmedin Konakovic, said on Friday Belgrade and Sarajevo wanted to have good, friendly relations and to ascertain mutual interests.

"We have the good will and we are ready to advance cooperation with Bosnia and Herzegovina," Dacic told a press conference with Konakovic after their first meeting to date.

They said the meeting had demonstrated a great deal of potential.

"Serbia wants good, friendly relations with Bosnia and Herzegovina and we have a lot of space, and that depends on political will and a desire to ascertain mutual interests and solve open issues," Dacic said.

Konakovic, whose visit to Belgrade is his first trip abroad as FM, said Dacic had been the quickest to react to a letter outlining Bosnia and Herzegovina's priorities and noting the importance of stability in southeastern Europe and cooperation with Serbia and Montenegro.

He said this was a prerequisite for any reforms and integration processes, especially for European integration.

"We want to get Bosnia and Herzegovina back into a position of being a bridge between the East and the West, a country of opportunity and chances, and to go to common markets in the East together with our Serbian colleagues," Konakovic said.
