BAKU - Serbian FM Ivica Dacic said on Thursday in Baku a Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) Contact Group Summit in Azerbaijan's capital city had been a great success for Serbia in terms of its state and national interests.
In a statement to Tanjug after addressing the summit, Dacic also said he had taken the opportunity to muster support for Serbia's bid to host EXPO 2027.
He said the summit had been attended by 46 countries that did not recognise the so-called Kosovo.
"As an envoy of President Aleksandar Vucic, I attended a part of the NAM summit and thanked all those who are with Serbia in the preservation of our territorial integrity, because we have been witnessing a selective interpretation - territorial integrity is recognised when it comes to other countries, while it is not a very important issue when it comes to Serbia," Dacic said.
"I took the opportunity to convey President Vucic's regards to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev although they had a phone call yesterday. The development of our bilateral ties is on a strong upward trajectory and we are seeking common interests and ties in all spheres of social life," Dacic said.
He said he had also spoken with the president of Libya and that he had promised his Libyan counterpart he would visit the country.
