BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic received US Deputy Assistant Secretary of State and Washington's special Western Balkans envoy Gabriel Escobar on Wednesday to discuss the process of normalisation of Belgrade-Pristina relations, establishment of a Community of Serb Municipalities and possibilities for finding sustainable and compromise solutions in the EU-facilitated dialogue.
Vucic reiterated Serbia's unchanged position regarding preservation of peace and stability in the region and solving outstanding issues between Belgrade and Pristina, with emphasis on full implementation of all agreements signed to date and protection of state and national interests.
Vucic thanked the US for supporting the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, as well as for its engagement in terms of the security and protection of Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija and establishment of a Community of Serb Municipalities, the presidential press office said in a statement.
