Vucic: Serbia-Hungary ties at historical high point
BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic received the credentials of new Hungarian Ambassador to Belgrade Jozsef Zoltan Magyar on Thursday, noting that he is proud of the sincere friendship between the two countries and the highest-ever level of bilateral ties.
Vucic said he expected the already excellent economic cooperation with Hungary to be continued during the ambassador's tenure and noted that Serbia was interested in boosting further the ties in the energy, infrastructure and agriculture and food sectors, as well as in other areas of mutual interest, the presidential press office said in a statement.
Vucic thanked Hungary for its active support to Serbia in the EU integration process, as well as for its understanding of Serbia's strategic affairs.
Presenting the credentials, Magyar conveyed to Vucic the regards of Hungarian President Katalin Novak and PM Viktor Orban and their satisfaction with the excellent Serbia-Hungary relations.
The ambassador also said that, during his tenure in Belgrade, he would work on concrete joint projects and on strengthening the cooperation, which he noted would also be contributed to by a new joint session of the two governments.
