BELGRADE - The secretary of Serbia's National Security Council Ivica Dacic said on Sunday the situation in Kosovo-Metohija was worsening steadily due to irresponsible actions by the provisional Pristina institutions, which he said were the main generator of all crises in Serbia's southern province.

After a session of a bureau coordinating Serbia's security services, Dacic called on the international community to stop Pristina's PM Albin Kurti.

Pristina continues to destroy all reached agreements, such as the vehicle licence plate agreement, generating new crises and destabilisation in Kosovo-Metohija, as well as in the region, Dacic said.

"This is a real indicator of their clear intent and that they do not want peace, and that they are trying to avoid the commitments they have undertaken in Ohrid, among other places. And the first commitment is the formation of a Community of Serb Municipalities. In that regard, this is another indicator that the international community must take our warnings seriously and that, by arresting and persecuting Serbs and violating guaranteed rights and freedoms, they (Pristina) are generating new crises to prevent new agreements that would be a step forward in normalisation of relations," Dacic said.

All this is happening ahead of another round of the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, scheduled for April 4 in Brussels, Dacic said.

"It is clear that the same old situation - and a new crisis generated by Pristina - is looming. As in the past, we will do everything to protect peace and be constructive, but Pristina's constant provocations are creating an atmosphere for everything that has been discussed. In fact, this is an attempt to shun the formation of a Community of Serb Municipalities," Dacic said, noting that the international community must take this seriously and exert pressure on Pristina.
