Brnabic meets with South Korean presidential envoy
BELGRADE - Serbian PM Ana Brnabic met with South Korean special presidential envoy Jang Sung Min in Belgrade on Friday, noting that the relations between the two countries were good and friendly and that there was room for advancement of political and economic cooperation.
Brnabic said she was especially pleased with the completion of bilateral talks on an agreement on mutual promotion and protection of investments, the Serbian government said in a statement.
She said there was great potential for cooperation with the Republic of Korea in digitalisation, IT, biotechnology, artificial intelligence and creative industries.
She noted that Serbia was interested in attracting new South Korean investments and that it had become an especially attractive destination for development of the automotive industry.
Brnabic said cooperation in the field of eGovernment was one of the most developed segments of bilateral cooperation with South Korea and expressed the hope the country would continue to transfer its knowledge and experience since eGovernment was one of the priorities for the Serbian government.
Jang, who is a presidential adviser and special envoy for EXPO 2030, noted that there was ample room for strengthening economic cooperation with Serbia and that it was important to exchange knowledge with prosperous countries, as well as that Serbia had made major progress in the economy, science and economic growth in the past several years.
