Vucic accepts bin Zayed's invitation to attend UN conference in Dubai

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on Friday accepted an invitation from the president of the United Arab Emirates, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, to attend a UN conference on climate change in Dubai.

The invitation was presented to him by the UAE Ambassador to Belgrade Mubarak Al Dhaheri.

"I accepted with pleasure an invitation from a great friend of our country, Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed, to attend @cop28uaeofficial. The fact that the UAE is this year's host of the prestigious event, which will bring together world leaders, is another confirmation of the UAE's huge reputation and growing influence in the world," Vucic wrote in an Instagram post.

He added that his meeting with the ambassador had also addressed other issues of significance for further development of bilateral and economic ties between the two friendly countries.

The COP28 conference in Dubai will be held from November 30 through December 12.
