BELGRADE - Montenegro's President Jakov Milatovic, who is on an official visit to Serbia, was given a red-carpet, guard-of-honour welcome outside the Palace of Serbia on Monday as the national anthems of the two countries were being played.
Milatovic was greeted by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.
The two presidents were scheduled to have a tete-a-tete meeting after the ceremonial welcome and then lead the delegations of their countries at plenary discussions.
Vucic and Milatovic will also speak to reporters after the discussions.
Milatovic arrived in Belgrade on Sunday and Vucic hosted a dinner for him in the evening.
Milatovic will also meet with Serbian Parliament Speaker Vladimir Orlic and is due to lay a wreath at the Monument to the Unknown Hero on Mt Avala with military honours and lay flowers outside a downtown Belgrade primary school that was the scene of a deadly mass shooting in early May.
