POZAREVAC - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Wednesday sanctions the US had imposed on Security Information Agency chief Aleksandar Vulin were not due to his involvement in crime or corruption, but to his attitude to the Russian Federation.

"Vulin's office is not the place where cocaine has been found - it is the White House. I think that it is very important, terribly important, that an investigation is carried out... I will speak about all that thoroughly tomorrow, about his position and the position of Serbia as a state," Vucic told reporters in Pozarevac, eastern Serbia, when asked about the US sanctions against Vulin, imposed due to his alleged involvement in transnational organised crime, illicit narcotics operations and abuse of public office.
