SKOPJE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said after Monday's meeting of Brdo-Brijuni Process leaders in Skopje that an attempt had been made to find a common denominator and that the European future had been discussed in a constructive debate.

"Some have slightly greater enthusiasm than others. In any case, the day passed in a very fair, constructive debate. There were no major squabbles or fights as we and Pristina left our problems for Thursday and Brussels," Vucic said.

More than anything else, today's meeting was about the Western Balkans' relationship with the EU, Vucic said.

"And about what we could request, from various (mobile) roaming initiatives covering entire Europe to establishment of green lanes and a common market, and, as the declaration itself says, the soonest-possible EU membership, by 2030 at the latest. In my opinion, that is wishful thinking, but who am I to destroy other people's optimism and diminish their ambitions? So, my job was to accept that. It will be great if that happens, but I am not sure it will," Vucic said.

"We also discussed the economic situation and ways to overcome problems in the period to come," Vucic said.
