Vucic receives credentials of ambassadors of Norway, Finland and Cambodia

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic on Wednesday received the credentials of the newly-appointed ambassadors of Norway, Finland and Cambodia.

"Today, I had the special pleasure of receiving the credentials of the newly-appointed Ambassador of the Kingdom of Norway Kristin Melsom as well as the Ambassadors of the Republic of Finland and the Kingdom of Cambodia, Niklas Lindqvist and Bunpa Tan," Vucic wrote in a post on his buducnostsrbijeav Instagram account.

He said that, at separate meetings, he had wished the ambassadors much success during their tenures in Belgrade and noted that they would personally experience the city's hospitality.

He added that, in particular, he had informed them in more detail of geopolitical and economic challenges in the region as well as of Serbia's numerous initiatives towards the best possible ties and cooperation among Western Balkan countries.

"Serbia cherishes friendly relations with all three states and there were many discussion topics - from strengthening of comprehensive partnerships in numerous projects of joint interest and potentials for investing in Serbia to cooperation in the fields of foreign and security policy, energy, infrastructure, science, technology, education and culture," Vucic noted.

He added that he had taken the opportunity to ask Melsom to give his greetings and special regards to King Harald V and expressed a desire to return the monarch's hospitality in Serbia.

Vucic thanked Lindqvist for Finland's support to Serbia on the EU path.

Vucic especially thanked the ambassador of Cambodia for his country's consistency in its principled position of respect of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Serbia.

Vucic said he was confident Serbia and Cambodia would strengthen their traditional friendship by exchanging top-level visits in the period to come.
