Vucic informs UAE FM of violence against Kosovo-Metohija Serbs

NEW YORK - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic spoke with UAE FM Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan in New York to discuss the main issues on the agenda of the 78th UN General Assembly session and inform him in detail of the violence against Serbs in Kosovo-Metohija.

Vucic was attending a reception hosted by Al Nahyan on occasion of the session.

In an Instagram post, Vucic wrote that he had called on "the friendly UAE to help, with its leverage and engagement, the protection and survival of our people in their ancestral homes."

Vucic asked Al Nahyan to convey to UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan his "cordial greetings and deep regards, with an expectation that, as soon as his commitments permit, he will again visit friendly Serbia, which is his home, too."

"I reiterated that I am especially proud of our friendship as well as of the fact that one of the world's most influential leaders sees our country as an important partner and also personally devotes great attention to further strengthening of the relations with Serbia," Vucic wrote.
