BELGRADE - Serbian FM Ivica Dacic said on Tuesday there was no indication there were Serbian nationals among those kidnapped or wounded in Israel except for a man who had sustained minor wounds, and added that the majority of Serbian tourists had left Israel.

In an appearance on Prva TV, Dacic said the Serbian government would do everything in its power for Serbian nationals in Israel and that solidarity between states was at work as Air Serbia had evacuated a number of Montenegrin nationals from Israel two days ago while Air Montenegro had taken 11 Serbians out of the country last night.

"There were around 200 of our tourists in Israel - most of them have left the country but new people are calling all the time. Not only our tourists and pilgrims are there, there are also people who work in Israel, such as the man who has been wounded. Some of our people were seeking asylum in Israel but a bad time has come for that and they will probably be looking for a way to get out of there," Dacic said.

He said Air Serbia had operated one evacuation flight following a government decision and that its subsequent flights to Israel and back had been scheduled ones.

"Unlike other airlines, Air Serbia still flies to Israel. Our pilgrims and others who were in Israel did not go there with Air Serbia but with other airlines such as WizzAir and such, which did not make sure they got them back to Serbia, and Air Serbia was the one that transported them," Dacic said.
