Vucic: I am going to Brussels on Thursday or Friday, I believe Belgrade will find way out
BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Sunday his meeting with the envoys of a "big five" of Western states had been difficult and that there had been no easy topics for Serbia but noted that, under an agreement that was in place, he could not elaborate on it.
"But, of course, everything that has to do with Kosovo-Metohija is extremely difficult for us," Vucic said on Pink TV, noting that, strategically, the West's only objective was that Serbia eventually recognise the so-called Kosovo.
"So, there are no easy things for us there, but I hope that we will succeed... in finding a way out and that Serbia will keep pushing not only on the good path but by achieving great success in the economy and infrastructure construction and improvement of health care services for our citizens," Vucic said.
He announced that he would go to Brussels on Thursday or Friday to discuss the Kosovo-Metohija issue and noted that he believed Belgrade would succeed in finding a way out to preserve the core of Serbia's national policy and national interests.
