Vucic to pay two-day visit to Skopje for Open Balkan, WB-EU summits
BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic will be in Skopje, North Macedonia, on January 21-22 for a summit of the Open Balkan initiative and a Western Balkans-EU summit on the EU Growth Plan for the region, the presidential press office announced in a statement on Tuesday.
Earlier, sources in the Presidency of Serbia told Tanjug the Western Balkans-EU summit would be hosted by North Macedonian PM Dimitar Kovacevski and also attended by regional leaders and Gert Jan Koopman, director-general of the European Neighbourhood and Enlargement Negotiations Directorate General.
US Assistant Secretary of State for Europe and Eurasia James O'Brien and representatives of regional organisations, the Regional Cooperation Council, CEFTA, WB6 CIF, USAID and several international financial institutions were also announced to attend.
