Djuric: We are working to arrange a visit to Serbia by a top NBA team

WASHINGTON - Serbia's Ambassador to Washington Marko Djuric says intensive work is underway to arrange a visit to Serbia by one of the top teams in the US National Basketball Association (NBA).

"I will not name it now but I think that, once we achieve that, it will be good news for Serbian sport, as well as for tourism in Serbia, because I believe there will be many people in the region who will come to watch NBA basketball in Serbia," Djuric told Tanjug in an interview.

He noted that Serbian athletes - above all, NBA star Nikola Jokic and tennis ace Novak Djokovic - were true ambassadors for their country in the US.
