TIRANA - Tirana is hosting the first Ukraine-Southeast Europe summit, to also be attended by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.

Albanian PM Edi Rama and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy are expected to discuss the war in Ukraine and its consequences.

There is still no agreement on the text of a declaration to be adopted at the end of the summit, Tanjug learns.

Tanjug's sources said Serbia wants a call for imposing sanctions on the Russian Federation and a section about Russia's "malignant influence" in the region eliminated from the text and the term "countries" replaced with "the Western Balkan Six" due to the so-called Kosovo, which Serbia will not refer to as a country.

Moldovan President Maia Sandu, Montenegrin President Jakov Milatovic, Croatian PM Andrej Plenkovic, North Macedonian President Stevo Pendarovski, the president of the interim institutions in Pristina Vjosa Osmani and Bosnia and Herzegovina Council of Ministers President Borjana Kristo are also expected to attend the summit.
