Brnabic receives Belgian ambassador

BELGRADE - Serbian PM Ana Brnanbic received Belgian Ambassador to Belgrade Cathy Buggenhout on Tuesday.

The parties agreed that bilateral relations between Serbia and Belgium were good and that meetings of officials of the two countries had had a positive impact on the continuity of political dialogue, the government press bureau said in a statement.

Brnabic thanked the ambassador for the good cooperation to date and noted Serbia's commitment to further step up and strengthen bilateral and economic relations with Belgium, and also said she expected an even greater presence of Belgian companies as investors as well as further investments in various sectors.

They also discussed Belgium's support in Serbia's European integration process, especially in the context of Belgium's presidency of the Council of the EU, as well as other geopolitical topics.

Buggenhout said Belgium remained committed to support and assist Serbia on its EU path and in implementation of reforms and noted that the good cooperation between the two countries would be continued in the future as well, having produced excellent results to date.
