Vucic meets with Chinese ambassador

BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic met with Chinese Ambassador to Belgrade Li Ming on Friday to discuss crucial affairs and challenges ahead of Serbia in the international arena.

"I informed the ambassador of China of hypocritical initiatives in the UN General Assembly against all Serbs and I requested China's support in the fight for the truth. Grateful for China's firm and unwavering support for our country in global fora, I noted that, in these uneasy times, Serbia appreciates principled partnerships and the steely friendship demonstrated through actions in the most difficult moments for our people and our state," Vucic wrote in an Instagram post.

He asked the ambassador to convey his heartfelt greetings to Chinese President Xi Jinping, noting that Xi's personal engagement had contributed to enormous progress of Serbia.
