Dacic meets with head of Finnish parliamentary committee on foreign affairs

BELGRADE - Serbian Deputy PM and FM Ivica Dacic on Tuesday received a delegation of the Finnish parliamentary committee on foreign affairs, headed by chairman Kimmo Kiljunen.

Dacic and Kiljunen expressed mutual readiness for further advancement of bilateral cooperation, especially as this year marks 95 years since the establishment of Serbia-Finland diplomatic relations, which is a good foundation for strengthening overall cooperation in the period to come, the Serbian MFA said in a statement.

The parties agreed there was a need to advance political dialogue.

They also expressed interest in exchanging visits at all levels and forging further ties in a large number of fields.

Dacic especially pointed out the negative aspects of the so-called Kosovo's application for Council of Europe membership, and the discussion also addressed the situation in the region and other current affairs on the international agenda, the statement also said.Service Photo Gallery
