Vucevic receives German MP
BELGRADE - Serbian Deputy PM and Defence Minister Milos Vucevic met with German MP Patricia Lips in Belgrade on Monday, noting that full EU membership remained Serbia's foreign policy course and strategic commitment.
The parties noted that current security challenges were shared by all European countries and that their resolution needed to be approached responsibly to preserve peace and ensure further economic progress, the MoD said in a statement.
Vucevic expressed disappointment over Pristina's many years of failure to implement the provisions of the Brussels Agreement and noted Serbia's commitment to help further development of regional relations and initiatives such as Open Balkan and the Berlin Process.
He said the situation in Kosovo-Metohija was complex and sensitive and warned that it was increasingly becoming a humanitarian issue.
The Bundestag member agreed with Vucevic's assessment that Serbia-Germany relations were highly developed.
She noted the great significance of European integration in the Western Balkans, stressing that, while it did not imply automatic solutions to all problems, it represented a strong contribution to preserving regional security and development.
