BELGRADE - Serbia's Tanjug News Agency and the Bulgarian news agency BTA signed an agreement on inter-agency cooperation on Thursday.

It was signed by Manja Grcic, director of Tacno - the holder of the Tanjug trademark - and BTA Director Kiril Valchev.

The signing of the agreement was also attended by Tanjug TV Executive Director Senka Tesic.

"This is one of the many instances of cooperation we have signed up to in the past year. What we expect is that it really gets implemented in the sense that we exchange news on a daily basis," Grcic said.

It is very useful to connect the Balkan states to make information that is significant for the Balkans also significant for Serbia, Grcic said, adding that cooperation between the two agencies would help forge closer ties between Serbia and Bulgaria.

Valchev said the cooperation would help exchange news on a daily basis and added that the agreement renewed the relationship between BTA and Tanjug as their previous agreement had been signed in 2005.Service Photo Gallery
