Partizan Belgrade overrun by Dynamo Kyiv in UEFA Champions League qualifier
LUBLIN - Serbian football club Partizan Belgrade suffered a 6-2 defeat in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League second qualifying round tie against Ukrainian side Dynamo Kyiv on Tuesday evening.
In front of around 4,000 Dynamo Kyiv supporters at the Lublin Arena in Lublin, Poland, Matheus Saldanha provided the goals for Partizan (22 min pen, 66 min) in one of the worst-ever defeats in the club's history, while Mykola Shaparenko (40 min), Volodymyr Brazhko (43 min), Oleksandr Karaveyev (45+1 min), Vladyslav Kabaiev (55 min), Denys Popov (83 min) and Oleksandr Pikhalonok (90+2 min) all scored for Dynamo.
The second leg in Belgrade is scheduled for July 31.
