Red Star Belgrade lose to PSV Eindhoven in UEFA Champions League
BELGRADE - Serbian football champions Red Star Belgrade lost 3-2 at home to Dutch side PSV Eindhoven in a UEFA Champions League Match Day 7 game on Tuesday evening.
Red Star have now lost all chances of qualifying for the next stage of the competition.
In front of 36,648 spectators at the Rajko Mitic Stadium, Luuk de Jong (17, 23 min) and Ryan Flamingo (43 min) provided the goals for PSV, while Cherif Ndiaye (71 min) and Nasser Djiga (77 min) scored for Red Star.
PSV finished the match with ten men after Flamingo was sent off in the 52nd minute.
Red Star, who are in 31st place in the Champions League table with three points won, face Swiss outfit Young Boys in Bern on January 29.
