Partizan beat Red Star in ABA League derby game

BELGRADE - Partizan Belgrade defeated arch-rivals Red Star 85-77 in a Round 28 derby game of the regional ABA basketball league on Monday evening.

Partizan, who now have 24 wins and 4 losses in the competition, are second in the league table, while Red Star are in fourth place with 20 wins and seven losses and a game in hand.

In front of 16,970 Partizan fans at the Belgrade arena, Sterling Brown led the scoring for the Black-and-Whites with 22 points, Tyrique Jones scored 15 and Brandon Davis added 10 points.

Carlik Jones had nine points and nine assists.

Nemanja Nedovic and Filip Petrusev stood out for Red Star with 19 points each, Luka Mitrovic added 12 and Nikola Kalinic scored nine points and nine rebounds.
