Djere withdraws from Madrid Masters clash with Medvedev due to injury

MADRID - Serbian tennis player Laslo Djere withdrew from the Madrid Masters tournament before Friday's second-round clash with Russian Daniil Medvedev due to a shoulder injury.

Djere defeated Italian Fabio Fognini 6-2, 6-3 in the opening round.

In the third round, Medvedev will face the winner of the tie between Argentine Juan Manuel Cerundolo and Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime.
