Djokovic, Wawrinka and Monfils to play at Srpska Open in Banjaluka
BANJALUKA - The world number one in men's tennis, Serbia's Novak Djokovic, Gael Monfils of France and Stanislas Wawrinka of Switzerland will play at the April 16-23 Srpska Open ATP tournament in Banjaluka, the organisers announced on Tuesday.
Serbians Laslo Djere, Filip Krajinovic and Dusan Lajovic will also compete at the tournament.
The organisers also said they were in the final stage of talks with Russia's Andrey Rublev, the winner of last year's Belgrade Open, and Karen Khachanov (Russia) and Frances Tiafoe (US).
"When we started preparations for this tournament, we had big ambitions. Now, several months on, they are even bigger because we will welcome some of the most significant names in the world of tennis and, at the same time, offer fans in the region an opportunity to watch world-class tennis from the front rows," said tournament director Djordje Djokovic.
