BELGRADE - Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic is back in the number one spot of the ATP rankings.
He took over from Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz, who has failed to defend his title at the Miami Masters.
Djokovic was forced to miss the tournament.
The Serbian tops the rankings with 7,160 points and Alcaraz is in second place with 6,780 points.
Greek Stefanos Tsitsipas remains in third position with 5,770 points and Russian Daniil Medvedev, who won the Miami tournament, moved up to fourth place.
Norwegian Casper Ruud is in fifth position and is followed by Russian Andrey Rublev, Canadian Felix Auger-Aliassime, Dane Holger Rune, Italian Jannik Sinner and American Taylor Fritz.
Serbian Miomir Kecmanovic dropped by five positions to 40th (985 points), while Laslo Djere retained the 58th place with 860 points.
Dusan Lajovic moved up eight positions to 68th (763 points) and Filip Krajinovic dropped by one position to 78th (715 points).
