Djokovic comes from behind to beat Van Assche in Banjaluka
BANJALUKA - Serbia's Novak Djokovic, the world number one in men's tennis, is through to the Srpska Open third round after defeating young Frenchman Luca Van Assche 6-7, 6-3, 6-2 in Banjaluka on Wednesday.
Djokovic won after two hours and 42 minutes of play.
Offering unexpectedly strong opposition to the Serbian, Van Assche claimed the first set after a tie-break, but Djokovic produced a much better performance in the second and the third set to win the match.
On Friday, Djokovic will face the winner of the tie between Serbian Dusan Lajovic and Frenchman Gregoire Barrere.
