Jokic: Pesic to be first to know whether I will play at Paris Olympics

CHICAGO - Serbia's NBA superstar Nikola Jokic says there is still "a long way to go" until the 2024 Olympic Games in Paris and that Serbia head coach Svetislav Pesic will be the first to know whether he will be playing for the national team next summer.

Olympic Committee of Serbia President Bozidar Maljkovic recently told Spanish media outlets the Denver Nuggets centre would feature for the "Eagles" in Paris.

"There is a long way to go, some people say I said something, they are putting words into my mouth and everyone knows - the head coach will be the first to know. There is a long way to go, it is the same story every year. Once the season is over, I will speak with my family and my team, and the head coach will be the first to know my decision," Jokic told an RTS correspondent in Chicago after an NBA game in which he was fouled out.
