BELGRADE - Serbian football giants Red Star Belgrade have clinched their 35th league title with a 2-1 home win against TSC Backa Topola on Thursday evening.

It is also their seventh consecutive championship title.

With just four games to go in the Serbian Superliga, Red Star have 84 points - 14 more than second-placed Partizan.

Peter Olayinka put Red Star in the lead in the 55th minute but Ivan Milosavljevic equalised in the 60th minute.

A point from the match would have been sufficient for Red Star to secure the title, but Cherif Ndiaye scored the winner in the 75th minute.

Red Star now also have a chance to win a fourth consecutive double as they will face Vojvodina Novi Sad in the final of the Serbian national cup in Loznica on May 21.
