STARA PAZOVA - The head coach of the Serbia men's national football team Dragan Stojkovic said on Tuesday his squad would do its utmost to achieve a good result at EURO 2024 in Germany and make the nation proud.
"Everything is going according to plan and the part of the preparations prior to our departure went as well as it possibly could. Most importantly, we have done what we thought was needed. We played two friendlies, there are no injuries, no one is complaining and, from that side of things, I am satisfied. Our schedule continues today," Stojkovic told reporters at the Football Association of Serbia centre at Stara Pazova before his team's departure to Germany.
In EURO 2024 Group C, Serbia will face England, Denmark and Slovenia.
Serbia captain Dusan Tadic said the team would do everything in its power to get to the second stage of the competition.
"We should take one game at a time. England are our main focus. They are the top favourites but we will do everything to get a good result, to accomplish the objective, to get to the next stage. That is what we want to do, and I also think we can," Tadic said.
