BELGRADE - The founder of Swiss-based consultancy firm GapBridge AG Marc Clapasson told Serbian Minister of Economy Rade Basta on Tuesday he was ready to invest 2 bln euros in Serbia.
After Basta presented to him the benefits for companies investing in Serbia, Clapasson said he was interested in greenfield and brownfield investments in finance and the banking and insurance sectors, new technologies and real estate, the Ministry of Economy said in a statement.
Basta said that, according to currently available figures, the impact of the global crisis on Serbia has been smaller compared to most European countries thanks to political, macroeconomic and financial stability in Serbia.
"Serbia is recognised as a good and dependable partner," Basta said, adding that his ministry's privatisation portfolio included 58 companies that represented good investment opportunities for potential Swiss partners.
