BELGRADE - An International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission will begin a two-week visit to Serbia on Thursday.
The visit will start with a plenary meeting of IMF and National Bank of Serbia (NBS) delegations at the NBS on Thursday morning.
Until April 5, the Mission will be discussing a standby arrangement between Serbia and the IMF.
"Discussions about a standby agreement with the IMF, worth around 2.4 bln euros, are ahead of us during the Mission's visit," Serbian Finance Minister Sinisa Mali said earlier.
"With IMF representatives, we will also discuss the fiscal position of our country and macroeconomic stability, the fiscal outlook for this year and the structural reforms we are continuing," he added.
Mali noted that Serbia maintained excellent cooperation with the IMF and that he highly appreciated its support for maintaining the achieved results as well as its assistance in Serbia's efforts to weather a globally highly turbulent period as easily as possible.
