BUDAPEST - Serbian Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Water Management Jelena Tanaskovic said on Friday in Budapest Serbian agricultural exports to Hungary were rising and that an agreement had been reached on raspberry exports to the country.
Speaking at the opening of Hungary's OMEK agriculture and food industry expo in Budapest, Tanaskovic said that, under an agreement with her Hungarian counterpart Istvan Nagy, Serbian raspberry producers were accompanying her at the fair.
"Hungary is a major raspberry importer but, for some reason, it does not import it from Serbia. We reached an agreement on that today. Beekeepers, producers of organic products, rakia and wine producers came, too," she said.
Tanaskovic said Serbian agricultural exports to Hungary had grown from 150 mln euros in 2018 to 345 mln euros in 2022.
"The idea is for the exchange to be higher this year and grow every year," she noted.
