BELGRADE - Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina are the two main CEFTA member states and their bilateral trade volume totalled 3.2 bln euros last year, Serbian Minister of Internal and External Trade Tomislav Momirovic said after a meeting with his Bosnian and Herzegovinian counterpart Stasa Kosarac on Monday.
"There is no other market in the region where Serbia is seeing so good export results and a higher volume of trade than Bosnia and Herzegovina. Serbian exports to Bosnia and Herzegovina reached 2 bln euros last year. There is no doubt that the two economies are absolutely compatible and our job is to continue to work on deeper integration of our companies," Momirovic said.
According to a statement released by the Ministry of Internal and External Trade, the parties also discussed steps towards regional connectivity and possibilities for further strengthening of administrative capacities and boosting the throughput of border crossings between the two countries.
Momirovic said they had also discussed EXPO 2027, to be hosted by Belgrade, and noted that the prestigious event was "a great opportunity for companies from Serbia as well as Bosnia and Herzegovina."
