BIO4 Campus project presented at Columbia University in New York

NEW YORK - Serbian Minister of Science, Technological Development and Innovation Jelena Begovic, who is on a working visit to the US, met with Columbia University representatives in New York to familiarise herself with their work and present Serbia's BIO4 Campus project.

"Columbia University is one of the most prestigious universities in the US, which means it is one of the best universities at global level," Begovic said, noting that the university had four campuses and hundreds of research centres and institutes, including a centre for biomedicine.

She said forging ties with such a globally powerful education and research institution would provide an opportunity to establish scientific cooperation and transfers of technology.

She said the goal of her visit to the US was to promote Serbia and showcase its capabilities and what it was offering to the world as well as the kind of cooperation that could be established with it.
