LONDON - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Thursday in London he had had many good and important meetings at the European Political Community (EPC) summit and noted that he had addressed with Emmanuel Macron the French president's visit to Serbia that would most likely take place in late August or early September.
Speaking to reporters, Vucic said the meeting with Macron had been his longest in London and that they had discussed all issues and Serbia's future, as well as economic cooperation and cooperation in military technology.
"I also spoke with the newly-elected Dutch PM (Dick Schoof)... and we also discussed the Growth Plan and the reform agenda. I also spoke with (Greek PM) Kyriakos Mitsotakis, (Ukrainian President Volodymyr) Zelenskyy and other leaders from the region and Europe, with the Swiss president, and I believe we had good discussions," Vucic said.
He explained the discussion with Zelenskyy had addressed all bilateral affairs.
He said he had also spoken with the Lithuanian PM, Polish PM Donald Tusk, Hungarian PM Viktor Orban, Bulgarian President Rumen Radev and Maltese PM Robert Abela.
"Those very good and substantial meetings. I also spoke with Spanish PM Pedro Sanchez, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Josep Borrell. We had discussions with everyone and they were good, important discussions," he said.
He said a panel at which the majority of participants had said that "Ukraine must win and that Russia must be defeated" had been interesting and that he had urged a more balanced attitude and a different approach to problem-solving.
