BELGRADE - The head of the Serbian government Office for Kosovo-Metohija Petar Petkovic said on Friday Pristina's PM Albin Kurti had illegally opened a police station in Socanica, a completely Serb municipality in the north of Kosovo-Metohija, to intimidate the local Serb population.
"The terror against the Serbs and the trampling of the Brussels Agreement have become Kurti's favourite event. He has no business in Socanica, and no business opening a police station illegally because Point 9 of the Brussels Agreement says the police force in the north of Kosovo-Metohija must reflect the ethnic composition of the Serb municipalities," Petkovic wrote in a post on X.
He noted that Kurti was transforming the station into a "base from which, besides from other illegal bases and notorious checkpoints, his phalanxes will intimidate Serbs in Leposavic."
The police outpost was opened by Kurti and Pristina's interior minister earlier in the day.
