BELGRADE - Serbian Armed Forces (SAF) Chief of General Staff Gen Milan Mojsilovic met with Kfor Commander Maj Gen Ozkan Ulutas in Belgrade on Wednesday.
This was a regular high-level meeting during which they reviewed the security situation in Kosovo-Metohija and the cooperation between the SAF and Kfor on the joint task of creating a safe and secure environment in the province.
They also discussed the activities the SAF and the international forces in the province are undertaking to monitor the situation on the ground, avert crises and respond efficiently in case of security violations, the Serbian MoD said in a statement.
The parties agreed that, given the volatile and sensitive security situation in Kosovo-Metohija, the good cooperation to date and direct communication at all levels must be continued.
Mojsilovic said that, in accordance with the Military Technical Agreement, the SAF saw Kfor as the only legitimate security actor in the province and that, as such, Kfor was obliged to act in a professional and unbiased manner and protect the Serb population and the Serbian heritage in Kosovo-Metohija.
