Brnabic: Herzog's visit to lend major impetus to development of Serbia-Israel ties

BELGRADE - Serbian Parliament Speaker Ana Brnabic said at a meeting with Israeli Ambassador to Belgrade Avivit Bar-Ilan she was confident Wednesday's visit to Serbia by Israeli President Isaac Herzog would lend a major impetus to a new stage in the development of Serbia-Israel bilateral relations.

Bar-Ilan said the Israeli delegation would also include people from the economic sector, which she noted was seen by Israel as holding great potential for both sides in terms of further development of relations.

Brnabic welcomed the newly-appointed Israeli ambassador to Serbia, an official statement said.

The parties agreed that Serbia-Israel relations were traditionally good and that a great deal of successful cooperation had been achieved in the field of innovation and modern technology.
