BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic received the head of the EU Delegation to Serbia Emanuele Giaufret on Thursday to discuss the situation in Kosovo-Metohija, and called on the EU and its member states to oppose Pristina's self-will urgently and through concrete engagement.
"With Ambassador Giaufret, I discussed the situation in Kosovo-Metohija, the Serbia-EU relations, as well the steps we are taking with the aim of making progress on our European path. I called on the EU and the member states to oppose, urgently and through concrete engagement, Pristina's self-will, which is jeopardising the security of the Serbs and stability of the entire region," Vucic wrote in an Instagram post.
He added that he had thanked the ambassador for everything the EU was doing, especially in the field of investments, economic and social integration and support for Serbian reforms.
"The discussions focused on implementation of projects under the European Growth Plan for the Western Balkans, which should greatly contribute to closer ties between the region and the EU and to better life for all our citizens," Vucic added.
