BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic hosted Hungarian President Tamas Sulyok, who is on an official trip to Serbia, at the Palace of Serbia on Monday, noting that the visit was another important step in boosting the friendly relations and cooperation between the two countries.
"Welcome, dear president of Hungary. This is President Tamas Sulyok first official visit to Serbia and represents another important step in boosting the friendly relations and cooperation between our countries," Vucic wrote in an Instagram post.
He added that the discussion with Sulyok would address economic cooperation, EU integration and the situation in the region.
"The importance of this visit is multifold, as it will help deepen the partnership and cooperation in key areas," Vucic noted.
Earlier, Vucic welcomed Sulyok outside the Palace of Serbia with the highest state honours.
The meeting between Vucic and Sulyok was followed by a plenary session of Serbian and Hungarian delegations headed by the two presidents, who afterwards spoke to reporters.
