BELGRADE - Preservation of regional stability is a vital national interest of Serbia, FM Marko Djuric said at a meeting with incumbent and newly-elected Central European Initiative (CEI) Secretaries-General Roberto Antonione and Franco Dal Mas in Belgrade on Tuesday.
Djuric noted that an orientation towards the most intense regional cooperation possible in all areas, as well as incentivising economic cooperation, infrastructure connectivity in the region and political action and initiatives, represented a vital interest of Serbia.
"Serbia devotes great attention to advancement of regional cooperation and cherishing of goodneighbourly relations, which are an inseparable part of European integration and, at the same time, one of the priorities of our foreign policy," a statement released by the Serbian MFA quoted Djuric as saying.
Djuric added that, during its CEI presidency in 2025, Serbia would work with commitment on accomplishing the CEI's strategic goals and on stepping up cooperation and political dialogue among member states.
