BRUSSELS - At a Brussels meeting with US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs James O'Brien, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic reiterated Serbia's consistent position of promoting peace and preserving stability and requested strong and unequivocal support from US partners for those efforts.
In a post on his buducnostsrbijeav Instagram account, Vucic said the discussion with O'Brien had addressed current global developments and growing security risks.
"I reiterated Serbia's consistent position of promoting peace and preserving stability and requested strong and unequivocal support from American partners for our efforts," Vucic wrote.
Earlier, Vucic - who is on a one-day visit to Brussels - met with the EU special envoy for the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue Miroslav Lajcak, EU foreign and security policy chief Kaja Kallas and Gert Jan Koopman, director-general of the European Commission's Directorate-General for Enlargement and Neighbourhood Policy.
"With the director-general of the European Commission's Directorate, I discussed fulfilment of our reform agenda and new steps on Serbia's European path," he wrote in a separate post.
