BELGRADE - The simultaneous sparking of crises in Kosovo-Metohija and Republika Srpska, followed by efforts to weaken Serbia internally to render it unable to protect Serbs living outside of Serbia and maintain stability within itself, is a part of a hybrid war against Serbia, Deputy PM Aleksandar Vulin said in an interview for Vecernje novosti.

Asked if Pristina's PM Albin Kurti was close to completely banishing Serbian statehood from the north of Kosovo-Metohija, Vulin responded that Kurti banished nothing by his own decision.

"He is doing that with great pleasure and desire, but because the EU and NATO allow him to do that. Or do you think Kurti is more powerful than the EU, NATO and the US and that he does what he wants, even when he opposes the policy of the said powers?" Vulin said.

"Without a change at global level, Western violence in Kosovo-Metohija will continue, but we will fight to preserve as much Serbian statehood as possible in a territory that is under interim administration by the UN and KFOR under UNSCR 1244," he said.
