BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic spoke by telephone on Sunday with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan to inform him of Belgrade's positions ahead of Monday's round of the Brussels dialogue with Pristina.
Vucic and Erdogan agreed that maintaining peace in the Western Balkans was the most important objective and said that, by working on strengthening Serbia-Turkey relations, they would also be contributing to regional stability, the press office of the Serbian president said in a statement.
Vucic once again expressed sincere regret over the great loss of life in devastating earthquakes in Turkey and reiterated Serbia's readiness to assist recovery efforts in the country.
Erdogan thanked Vucic for the self-sacrifice of Serbian rescue teams that have taken part in efforts to help the population of quake-hit cities in Turkey, as well as for other support coming from Serbia.
Vucic and Erdogan also discussed current global affairs.
