Gasic visits UAE

BELGRADE - Serbian Interior Minister Bratislav Gasic is on an official visit to the UAE, where he attended the ceremonial opening of the March 7-9 World Police Summit in Dubai, the Serbian Interior Ministry said in a statement.

Gasic spoke with Dubai Crown Prince Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai Police Director Abdullah Khalifa Al Marri and INTERPOL President Ahmed Nasser Al-Raisi, the statement said.

He also spoke with the Director General of the State Security of Dubai Talal Humaid Belhoul.

The ministry said the summit was an opportunity for international officials to meet and exchange experiences in the field of security.

The summit also includes an expo of police weapons and equipment, the ministry said.
