BELGRADE - Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said on Thursday evening that, for now, Serbia was succeeding in maintaining its military neutrality and that it wanted to side neither with NATO nor with any other country.
In an interview for the RTS, Vucic said there would never be a unipolar world again and that the world could be a bipolar one - a world of America and its allies versus China and its allies - or a multipolar one, which he said would suit Serbia better in terms of preserving its neutrality and independence.
Asked if Serbia could become a kind of a neutral hub and use the advantages of both sides, Vucic responded that, for now, Serbia was succeeding in maintaining its independence and military neutrality.
"I cannot swear to you that we will succeed as it would not be realistic, serious or responsible. But that is our policy - we are on the European path, we want to head towards Europe and we know how difficult the conditions are, especially when it comes to Kosovo, but we cannot implement much or do much without Europe," Vucic said.
