BELGRADE - The Serbian government Office for Kosovo-Metohija slammed on Friday a raid mounted by Pristina's special police on the home of a Serb family in the Kosovo municipality of Zubin Potok earlier in the day.
"The ROSU special forces' Good Friday raid on a Serb home in the Babudovica village in the Zubin Potok municipality is a continuation of the harassment of Serbs, who, as a rule, are targeted by Pristina during major Orthodox holidays," the Office said in a statement.
"Why did the Kosovo police wait for Good Friday to carry out its action?" it asked.
It is no coincidence Pristina had chosen this day "to flex its muscles and bring unease and concern among the Serbs, right in the north of Kosovo-Metohija," the Office said.
"Evidently, Albanian politicians in Pristina are afraid of the unity shown by representatives of Kosovo-Metohija Serbs at a meeting with President Vucic, where they agreed clearly to be united and firm in their intent to remain in their ancestral homes and where the Serbs received strong support from their state," the Office also said.
